NBTC has achieved a major safety milestone at the Shuaiba Refinery demolition project, recording 2 million safe man-hours as of 15 November 2025. The achievement, celebrated on 23 November, highlights NBTC’s strong commitment to workplace safety, HSE standards and risk management in one of Kuwait’s most complex refinery dismantling operations.

The project involves high-risk activities, including line breaking, heavy lifting, confined space entry and work at height. Through continuous HSE training, daily toolbox talks, improved method statements and active leadership involvement, NBTC maintained a strong safety record throughout the operation.

To further enhance awareness, NBTC conducted a comprehensive Line Breaking Safety Awareness Campaign in coordination with KNPC Safety – Projects Department. The campaign featured live demonstrations, classroom sessions and daily safety interactions to educate workers on safe line-breaking practices, proper PPE use and hazard identification. The initiative received positive feedback and contributed to safer site operations. KNPC also awarded Certificates of Appreciation to five NBTC employees for their exceptional participation in the campaign.
